"Surprise On The Beach"
Mission Bay Beach was beautifully lit for a warm July evening. This end of the day surprise brought this couple a happy ending to an awesome vacation!
The best thing about being a milestone photographer, is having the opportunity to capture happy moments in people's lives!
What seemed like a traditional end to a vacation on Mission Beach for Casey and Ashley. This time it was different. Casey had contacted me, asking if I could document his proposal to his beautiful girlfriend Ashley. The challenge for me was to stay hidden, because she had no idea.
As someone who has seen lots of sunsets, San Diego did not let Casey down. The pinkish-orange sky and large teal waves, really set the mood. As he waited for the right moment I had pretended to be one of the many landscape photographers who photograph sunsets on the beach. While feeling a bit like a paparazzi, every time Ashley had looked in my direction I quickly pointed my camera towards the ocean.Soon enough Casey reached in his pocket, Stood up giving Ashley his hand. After a quick embrace, he got down on one knee and popped the question. Behind me. towards the boardwalk, you hear Cheering from the family for the happy couple.
I'm not gonna lie. I shed a happy tear or two in the moment. Congratulations to the this happy couple! May your lives be filled with love and happiness for years to come!

Welcome home Marine! (With a twist)
This Military Homecoming was no ordinary one. Usually the one waiting at home holds all the surprises for their service member coming home. This was a twist you would not have expected!
I am always honored and thankful when I have the opportunity to photograph such special times in these families lives! I too remember how it feels to be the Marine coming home and also the loved one waiting. it is never easy both ways. This story has a twist, for I too was as surprised as this lovely woman when her Marine got down on one knee and proposed! Thank you to you both for allowing me to capture such a memorable time in your lives. Congratulations on your engagement and, I truly wish you the best for years to come!
