Father, Daughter Fun in the Park

After an extremely busy school scheduled, It was refreshing to get back to photographing families. This last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing a father and his beautiful daughter.  Turns out Miss "L" had a birthday coming up and they wanted to get photos taken of the two of them. I am thankful to have worked with them both!

The session was held at Poway-Midland Railroad. The park is filled with train cars, trees and beautiful old wood buildings. A wonderful hidden gem to take the family for some play time. 

"Surprise On The Beach"

The best thing about being a milestone photographer, is having the opportunity to capture happy moments in people's lives!

What seemed like a traditional end to a vacation on Mission Beach for Casey and Ashley. This time it was different. Casey had contacted me, asking if I could document his proposal to his beautiful girlfriend Ashley. The challenge for me was to stay hidden, because she had no idea.  

As someone who has seen lots of sunsets, San Diego did not let Casey down. The pinkish-orange sky and large teal waves, really set the mood. As he waited for the right moment I had pretended to be one of the many landscape photographers who photograph sunsets on the beach. While feeling a bit like a paparazzi, every time Ashley had looked in my direction I quickly pointed my camera towards the ocean.Soon enough Casey reached in his pocket, Stood up giving Ashley his hand. After a quick embrace, he got down on one knee and popped the question. Behind me. towards the boardwalk, you hear Cheering from the family for the happy couple.

I'm not gonna lie. I shed a happy tear or two in the moment. Congratulations to the this happy couple! May your lives be filled with love and happiness for years to come!

"C" Family Garden Session

This session was taken at the Marston house in San Diego Balboa Park. The books you see are a long time joke this family has and they thought it would be great to use them as props for their session. I was happy to document this story, for them to cherish years to come.  With four kids and their youngest being 2, this family was full of energy and love! An amazing family with beautiful hearts!

I came from a very desert location before moving here. While Arizona has some spectacular Desert locations for photo sessions. There is something about the beach that makes me smile! This session was so beautiful, it really reminds me how much I love to work with children.
